Scope of Responsibility:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support and system management to drive demand within the ERP system. This role will also assist in meeting the operational needs of Engineering, Production, and Purchasing teams, ensuring efficient workflow and accurate data processing across departments.
Essential Duties:
- All engineering projects undergo a Bill of Materials (BOM) and print review, including new part numbers (P/N) for both new projects and revisions.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining templates to input data from drawings into the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Templates include materials, labor routed hours, and operations for streamlined data entry.
- Review project drawings to identify and calculate BOM items not listed in the drawing’s parts list.
- Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to identify BOM-related and non-related errors.
- Create new part numbers in the ERP system for both manufactured and purchased items.
- Generate Job Orders (JOs) for material procurement and manufacturing scheduling/planning.
- Identify and track long lead-time materials, maintaining up-to-date templates and Job Orders to reflect current demands.
- Report for work on time and fulfill your shift responsibilities as planned.
- Complete all responsibilities during your assigned shift as outlined in the schedule

Position Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an administrative role with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, 10-key data entry, and a basic understanding of ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP). Familiarity with blueprint reading is also required.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including routings and related procedures.
- High-level computer skills with expertise in typing and 10-key data entry by touch.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly Epicor, is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to observe and assess fine details at close range.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform physical activities that require use of fingers, hands and arms, such as sitting, typing, using office equipment and reaching. Some additional physical activities may require walking, stooping, bending, twisting and handling of materials.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time with the ability to move throughout the office or outside manufacturing plant as needed.
- Position requires manual dexterity.
- Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources.
- Demonstrated ability to work with frequent interruptions in workflow and constantly changing priorities.
