Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

Sabre Systems is currently hiring for a Senior Data Scientist at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) in Lakehurst, NJ. NAWCADLKE is the premiere Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and Aircraft Support Equipment (SE) research, development, test and evaluation, and sustainment installation supporting the US Navy. The primary job responsibilities of the Senior Data Scientist are but not limited to

• Develop and implement data strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring effective utilization of data assets across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and business stakeholders, to understand their needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Overseeing data collection, storage, and maintenance, you will ensure data integrity and security and enforce data governance policies.
• Staying current with advancements in data science and machine learning, drive innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.
• Utilizing advanced analytics tools and technologies, you will enhance data processing and analysis capabilities, ensuring the scalability and efficiency of data solutions.
  
  

Qualifications

Requirements

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science or related scientific /technical discipline from an accredited college or university
• Must have ten (10) years of data science experience; over five (5) years of programming experience (e.g., C , JAVA) of the most current generation.
• Must be proficient in C and Java
• Be comfortable with high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently
• May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job
• Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher or have the ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance
• Must be a US Citizen
