The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to
- Participate in identification of weapon system critical program information (CPI), and determination of consequence of compromise.
- Conduct analysis and modeling on proposed architectures.
- Document protective architectures.
- Develop and advocate contractual requirements in support of developmental programs.
- Facilitate evaluation of weapons system architectures for compliance to protection standards.
- Coordinate with program, service, Joint and Department of Defense agencies to ensure system horizontal protection requirements are met.
- Assist the Navy Verification & Validation (V&V) team with assessment of system designs and solutions.
- Support program risk management, mitigation and reporting.
- Communicate across the technical teams to share information, address issues, and accelerate pace of new development.
- Serve as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member for systems technical events providing SSE expertise.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific or technical discipline.
- At least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in systems engineering including systems security engineering and associated role.
- Must have programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and as well as guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems.
- Required experience with application of systems engineering methods and tools in the development of weapon systems.
- Knowledge and direct experience in systems engineering, SSE and cyber security related to weapon systems and platforms
- Knowledge and understanding of systems engineering processes and applications
- Knowledge and experience in DoD systems acquisition life cycle
- Selected Candidate must possess a current DoD Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain a Top-Secret/SCI
- Must be willing to travel up to 10-15%, as needed
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Knowledge with model-based systems engineering & digital engineering transformations
- Recent and direct experience in AT systems engineering is highly desired
- Recent and direct experience with DoD acquisitions is highly desired
- Master’s degree in a related scientific or technical discipline
