Description
The Sabre User Experience team creates compelling, consistent, and highly usable experiences for the hospitality industry. We approach our projects with high standards, utilizing best practices to deliver consumer-grade user experiences.
Our Principal UX Designers work on a strategic level, directing the vision of a product while guiding projects to incorporate UX best practices, design system standards, and outstanding design quality. They also have deep knowledge, acting as experts to mentor, train, or assist other designers.
Our Principal UX Designers are also thought and design leaders, consulting with business owners about new features and business cases. They have a broad sphere of engagement and influence, working with internal teams and clients on requirements and solutions. Your contributions will play a critical role to the overall success of the company.
What you will do
Directly engage customers to understand both their needs and domain challenges.
Architect the vision and future state of the products in our portfolio with solution managers, business analysts, and development teams.
Partner with development on the technical aspects and overall execution of your designs, guiding them on the successful integration of our enterprise design library in their work.
Collaborate with solution managers on user goals and requirements for our products.
Recommend research to understand the product, the users, business needs and market opportunities with your project.
Produce amazing interactive prototypes that align with project requirements and internal best practices for software application development.
Demonstrate a high level of proficiency and application of different user experience tools and techniques.
Create design concepts that achieve stated user goals and business objectives.
Learn, integrate, and leverage our enterprise design library, aligning your project work with Sabre’s design standards for usability, accessibility, and functionality.
Participate in ongoing user research and usability test evaluations.
Principals will work on very complex products / features individually or as part of a larger team. Principals are expected to have excellent mastery of their craft. They will also be able to teach / lead others and interact extensively with product and development in project planning.
Qualifications
EDUCATION : - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE :
7 - 10 years of related management, design, and leadership experience
Experience with leading design teams and / or deep knowledge of UX-related topics
Demonstrated knowledge of design thinking principles and methodologies in an enterprise environment
Experience designing and developing across multiple form factors (mobile, tablet, and desktop)
Expert knowledge and demonstrated skillset using Figma
Experience participating in user research and usability testing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Industry certifications and academic achievements in UX, HCI, and / or Usability are preferred
Front-end coding experience is a plus
Project management skills and experience are a plus
