Job Description
a. (U) Architect and design the Sponsor’s corporate DevSecOps processes, services and tools that will enable rapid software development and deployment using continuous integration and continuous deployment techniques for Sponsor consideration.
b. (U) Create a plan for applications supported in the CI / CD pipeline, leveraging best of breed available cloud services, scaling, containers, security, micro-service architecture.
c. (U) Continually evaluate the DevSecOps approach with current industry standards focusing on automation, security, and performance.
d. (U) Define and document the DevSecOps process changes, governance, and standards.
e. (U) Assist Sponsors’ identification, evaluation, and adoption of technologies to improve business applications and support operations.
f. (U) Leverage enterprise and open source capabilities such as GitHub, Jenkins, Puppet, and Maven where possible.
g. (U) Define a performance management plan to ensure success.
h. (U) Provide key performance measurements to include items such as defect escape rate, deployment frequency, lead time for changes, and mean time to recovery.
i. (U) Work with Sponsor to communicate DevOps architecture, approach, and roll-out plans.
j. (U) Assist Sponsor to identify, evaluate and adopt technologies to improve business applications and support operations.
Required Skills
- U) Demonstrated experience implementing DevSecOps CI / CD pipelines to support a multi-tenant environment, incorporating automated software quality checks, security scanning, infrastructure-as-code, and other modern DevSecOps tools and practices.
- U) Demonstrated experience marrying Agile development methodology with modern DevSecOps methodologies at scale.
- U) Demonstrated experience implementing of end-to-end automation of a CI / CD pipeline from build through deploy.
- U) Demonstrated experience designing and implementing modern secure resilient applications.
- U) Demonstrated experience implementing Security best practices.
- U) Demonstrated experience in platform and application automated deployment.
- U) Demonstrated experience with configuration management.
- U) Demonstrated experience completing the ICD503 process.
- U) Demonstrated experience using AWS to include S3, EBS, and EC2.
- U) Demonstrated experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher (RKE2).
- U) Demonstrated experience using requirements tracking programs such as JIRA or Confluence.
- U) Demonstrated experience using SQL.
- U) Demonstrated experience scripting using Python or Javascript.
- U) Demonstrated experience programming using Java and Spring.
- U) Demonstrated experience with DevSecOps and DevSecOps related tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, and Puppet.
- U) Demonstrated experience developing DevSecOps metrics such as Lead time and Deployment Frequency.
- U) Demonstrated experience operating, configuring and maintaining Nexus and Jenkins to support enterprise delivery and operations, as well as availability requirements.
- U) Demonstrated experience integrating and deploying application performance monitoring such as AppDynamics.
- U) Demonstrated experience presenting and communicating technical designs and implementations to non-technical audiences.
- U) Demonstrated experience modernizing legacy software through as-is assessments and identification of technical debt.
