Warehouse Custodian

Job Summary

This position is responsible for cleaning of the outside general area of plant, warehouse docking area, warehouse office at the Vernon location.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of the locker rooms both male/female including but not limited to:
  
  

Pick up any trash or clothing off floor, sweep floor in warehouse docking area, empty trash can/bin, empty trash can/bin, wipe down benches including any other activities to help maintain the cleanliness of the areas.

• Maintain the cleanliness of the outside areas by using leaf blower, broom, mop utilizing cleaning solutions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the Breakroom including but not limited to wiping down all tables and chairs, sweep & mop the break room floor, and emptying trash cans.
  
  

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience cleaning in a business setting.
• Ability to be able to work without supervision
  
  

Required Skills/Abilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of the plant by being responsible for emptying track around the plant floor.
• Report to Supervisor/Manager when supplies are needed.
• Ability to work without supervision and maintain the guidelines that are required in a food production facility.
• Knowledge inventory control & high standard of cleanliness.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facility
• Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements
• Works in high noise area and wears the appropriate hearing protection
• Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
• Able to work a multi shift environment
• Will be required to work around spices and meat ingredients as part of the daily activities
• Exposed to cold (40°)/ heat/ humidity
