JOB TITLE: Laborer
DEPARTMENT: Public Works
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform road maintenance as required by road conditions
- Perform maintenance related to sewer and water
- Perform maintenance/repairs in response to requests from community members
- Perform miscellaneous repairs on equipment and/or vehicles
- Operate power tools, hand tools, light equipment and machinery in relation to job duties
- Perform outdoor manual labor including shoveling, trimming, and weed and litter control
- Assist with solid waste collection
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prefer knowledge of general maintenance associated with Public Works
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and be insurable, CDL preferred
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends, as emergency conditions require
SUPERVISION:
- Supervised by the Public Works Coordinator
SALARY LEVEL:
