What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Compliance Officer - Gaming Commission position at Sac and Fox Tribe of Iowa?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Reads and comprehends all Gaming Laws and relevant materials including Tribal Internet Control Standards, System Gaming Materials Handbook and departmental Policy and Procedures manuals.
- Trains in the respective departments, Tablegames, Slots, Racebook, Keno, Bingo/Pulltabs, Security, Surveillance, and Cash Services so as to familiarize with their unique job requirements.
- Attends staff meetings and submits daily shift, weekly status, weekly departmental variance and monthly duty reports to the Commission.
- Monitors activities in the Casino for compliance and departmental policies and procedures, reporting all discrepancies relating to issues of non-compliance.
- Issues citations to individual (s) and/or department (s) that are not compliant to the regulations and/or policies and procedures.
- Assures visibility, currency, and accuracy of all Casino Employees licenses.
- Attend any seminars, meetings, conferences, classes and/or training that deals with Native American gaming and compliance issues as deemed necessary by the Gaming Commission.
- Performs all other functions and tasks as assigned.
- Restricted from all gaming on casino premises.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have High School diploma/GED.
- Must be able to do filing.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Must have knowledge of different computer programs.
- Must be able to read and write reports.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to pass extensive background investigation.
- Native American Preference.
Attend mandated training for all compliance and gaming issues.
- Basic understanding of CFR 25, Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988, Tribal/State Compact and Sac & Fox Gaming Ordinance.
- Attend any classes, seminars, meetings, conferences and/or training that deals with Native American gaming or compliance issues as deemed necessary by the Gaming Commission.
- Must possess sensitivity to Native American Culture.
- Must complete a ninety (90) day probationary period.
- Must have full capability to interpret and comprehend extensive gaming material as directed by State and Federal guidelines.
