What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cage Cashier position at Sac & Fox Casino?
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Maintain tracking of coin and currency for Cage & Vault transactions on approved paperwork. Count and verify all cash/coin/ticket/chip transactions in Vault and assist Cage & Vault Supervisor with all Vault transactions within the department. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Safeguard assigned cash drawer and Casino assets. 2. Count and verify all cash/coin/chip transactions in Cage at beginning and end of shift. 3. Make change and exchange chips/change/Tickets for cash. 4. Cash checks and conduct charge card transactions. 5. Provide exceptional customer and co-worker relations. 6. Comply with Federal cash reporting requirements (Title 31). 7. Maintain jet sort equipment by clearing coin jams and changing coin bags. 8. Maintain accurate cage cash transmittal forms and other paper work. 9. Maintain confidentiality of Casino Operations data. 10. Maintain a neat, clean work area. 11. Performs related duties as assigned by Cage Supervisor or above. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: One year experience as a cashier or related position. 10-key experience and training in the use of money counting equipment. (Preferred but not required) KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILLS; Good Organizational skills and detail oriented. Ability to operate a 10-key calculator. Ability to perform basic math computations. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to set and follow priorities. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and customers. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations and count back change. Ability to work in an environment that contains excessive noise, stress and smoke.
Must be 18 at time of hire. All employees must successfully pass a background investigation to be employed by the Casino.
