Gift Shop Supervisor

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Supervise all aspects of the Gift Shop including retail sales, ordering, budget control, and hiring, training and scheduling employees. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Develop retail plan for gift shop and recommend budget items, proposals. 2. Assist in hiring and training retail/players club staff. 3. Enforce policy as it relates to logo, copyrights and trademarks. 4. Perform other retail/marketing duties as required and directed. 5. Supervise operations of Retail Gift Shop. 6. Prepare monthly status report for Director of Marketing. 7. Prepare scheduling of all Retail Clerks. 8. Oversee the development and training of all Retail Gift Shop. 9. Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts, maintaining inventories. 10. Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans, analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION:  High School Diploma / G.E.D EXPERIENCE:  One year sales/marketing or public relations experience.  Additional related experience may be substituted for the required degree on a year for year basis. KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY/SKILLS:  Knowledge of marketing budget implementation.  Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.  Ability to work effectively with all employees and departments.  Excellent Guest service skills.  Computer skills using common Microsoft programs.  Positive attitude.  Cooperative and able to take direction, follow through on assignments and work in a team.  Flexibility in scheduling.  Interpersonal skills

 Leadership skills.  Strong organizational skills.  Strong problem solving and decision making skills.  Outgoing personality and enjoys contact with a variety of people.  Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must be 18 at time of hire.  All employees must successfully pass a background investigation to be employed by the Casino.  Responsible for Compliance with the Casino’s Internal Control Policy & Procedure as it relates to the position’s stated job description.
