Job Summary
The Game Entertainment & Cap City Crew Coordinator is responsible for designing and executing engaging, high-energy matchday experiences at Heart Health Park and oversees the Cap City Crew at all games and community events. The goal of this role is to assist in the creation of an electric atmosphere on matchday and help grow the Republic FC brand in the community. This role oversees and manages the Cap City Crew (Street Team) in its matchday capacities and the planning and execution of other external events. This position collaborates with all internal departments at SRFC and external partners to help achieve club goals. From pre-game festivities to in-game activations to community events, the Game Entertainment Coordinator helps Sacramento Republic FC bring the Indomitable Spirit to the Sacramento community.
Key Responsibilities
CAP CITY CREW
- Cap City Crew Oversight: Assist in the hiring, training, and managing of Republic FC’s street team, Cap City Crew to ensure staffing at community events, matchdays, and beyond
- Identify Key Community Events: Research and identify events in the Sacramento area for Cap City Crew to activate to ensure lead generation and new fan growth
- Community Engagement: Support off-field events and street team initiatives (e.g., Cap City Crew) to bring the Republic FC energy to the broader Sacramento region.
GAME ENTERTAINMENT
- Script & Rundown Management: Assist in detailed game scripts and run-of-show documents, ensuring seamless execution of all entertainment elements in coordination with broadcast, production, and operations teams.
- In-Game Promotions: Collaborate with the Partnerships team to integrate sponsor activations into the entertainment lineup, delivering value to corporate partners while keeping fans entertained.
- Theme Night Committee: Serve as Republic FC’s theme night committee chair to help bring various departments together to execute.
- Logistics & Execution: Oversee setup, timing, and troubleshooting of entertainment elements on matchdays, working with operations staff to ensure smooth delivery under tight timelines.
- Assist with Entertainment Bookings: Collaborate with the entertainment team to help book and execute flyovers, bands, DJs, drummers, and other performers
- Matchday Entertainment Planning: Coordinate all aspects of game-day entertainment, including pre-game ceremonies, halftime shows, in-game contests, and fan engagement activities that align with Sacramento Republic FC’s brand and fan expectations.
- Podcast and Field Producer: Serve as a producer on the club podcast and be the main point of contact as the on-field producer for matchday activations
- Creative Development: Brainstorm and implement innovative entertainment ideas, such as themed nights, community showcases, or unique halftime performances, to keep the experience fresh and exciting.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2 years in event coordination, sports entertainment, or a related field. Experience in soccer or live sports production is a plus.
- Skills:
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with diverse teams and engage with fans.
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and fan engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with scripting software or production tools is a bonus.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on matchdays and special events.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and navigate stadium environments.
- Personality: Energetic, outgoing, and team-oriented, with a love for soccer and the Sacramento community.
