Tile Setter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring various types of tile surfaces in a residential setting. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong craftsmanship, and the ability to work with various materials and tools. The Tile Setter will collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure high-quality finishes that meet client specifications.

Duties

• Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives.
• Install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces according to design plans and specifications.
• Ensure proper alignment and spacing of tiles for aesthetic appeal and functionality.
• Perform repairs on existing tile installations, including replacing damaged tiles or re-grouting as needed.
• Utilize power tools and equipment safely to complete installation tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople such as drywallers, concrete finishers, and general contractors to coordinate project timelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of each project.

Experience

• Proven experience in tile setting or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with construction management practices is a plus.
• Skills in remodeling projects, masonry work, flooring installation, drywall installation, and concrete finishing are highly desirable.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
