JOB OVERVIEW:
The Community Outreach and Recruiter plays a key role in expanding Tec Centro’s reach by engaging with community members, potential students, and partner organizations. This position focuses on recruitment, relationship-building, and promoting Tec Centro’s programs and services, ensuring that underserved communities have access to education, workforce training, and career development opportunities
KEY RESULTS AREAS
- Assist with establishing recruitment goals by leveraging data from institutional sources, and external sources to develop a work plan and conduct market analysis. This data driven approach informs recruitment goals, and ultimately drives the planning and strategy needed to achieve TEC Centro’s enrollment goals.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Support the Tec Centro’s leadership in developing and executing a recruiting strategy for the programs. This strategy is designed to attract students from the Lancaster County area, and ensure that each incoming class meets the size, quality, diversity and financial goals established by the Director.
2. Actively recruit candidates for the TEC Centro’s programs by representing the Tec Centro at recruiting fairs, corporate events, high school visits, information sessions, and speaking with candidates, both electronically and face-to-face.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, businesses, faith-based groups, and other stakeholders to promote Tec Centro’s programs.
4. Organize and attend community events, job fairs, and workshops to increase awareness and enrollment.
5. Represent Tec Centro at outreach events, speaking engagements, and networking opportunities.
6. Collaborate with SACA’s marketing specialists to create culturally relevant outreach materials in multiple languages.
7. Coordinate and execute prospective student communication campaigns and admissions marketing outreach.
8. Collaborate with SACA management to represent the organization on events, in addition to the required TC events.
9. Conduct outreach to potential students through in-person visits, phone calls, emails, and social media engagement.
10. Assist individuals in understanding program offerings and guide them through the enrollment process.
11. Track and report recruitment efforts, ensuring enrollment goals are met.
12. Partner with the marketing team to develop targeted recruitment strategies for specific programs, including ESL, workforce training, and certification pathways.
13. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

PREFERED EDUCATION AND EXEPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
- Experience in student recruiting, counseling, or advising preferably in a vocation setting. Student worker experience or volunteer work in recruitment, and peer counseling/advising is acceptable and will be considered.
- Experience giving oral presentations.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, data driven decision making and relationship building.
- Report building and maintenance, and the use of data driven decision making for planning and strategy development.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Attention to detail, writing, listening and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan visits, events, and presentations independently and strategically for prospective students.
- Ability to lift, transport and distribute objects up to 25 pounds.
- Oral presentation and public speaking skills.
- Ability to problem solve and research solutions.
- Ability to work with new technologies to enhance recruitment.
- Bilingual (Required) (Spanish/English)
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve job related problems and deal with many variables in situations where only limited guidance from policies and procedures exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, licenses, registrations:
PA Drivers License
Other skills and abilities, including computers, tools, equipment, technical knowledge:
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs; bilingual skills in Spanish / English required. Flexible schedule including one evening a week.
