The Carpentry and Drywall Project Manager oversees remodeling and new construction projects, managing trade contractors (drywall, carpentry, painting) to ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget. Responsibilities include reviewing architectural drawings, coordinating materials and labor, providing regular progress updates to clients, and maintaining quality control. The role involves risk management, financial forecasting, and ensuring efficient project execution.

The Project Manager oversees the construction effort to ensure project is constructed safely in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. This position is the mastery level of a stand-alone manager, managing day-to-day operations, document project information for record keeping for use during job and complex issues at the jobsite and remotely, unaided and mentoring the jobsite to excel.

Responsibilities
- General knowledge of remodeling and new construction, such as but not limited to: Framing, Drywall, Trim, Cabinetry, Millwork, Doors and Hardware
- Manage all Trade Contractors on assigned jobs. This includes holding Trade Contractors accountable to their Schedules, Contracts, Change Orders and Scopes of work. (Drywallers, carpenters and painters)
- Manage job sites and projects from beginning to end ensuring each project is running efficiently and profitably.
- Review and understand all architectural drawings and specifications.
- Translate and communicate construction plans, drawings, and specifications to trades.
- Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed.
- Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule to ensure on time completion.
- Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly. This includes daily communication with clients regarding schedule, change orders, selections, and client satisfaction.
- Schedule and host weekly team meetings.
- Attend weekly production/project meetings.
- Conduct pulse meetings with Foremen to ensure they are being kept up to date on our processes and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of construction management experience preferred.
- Proficient in Plangrid an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, excel, outlook
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage and direct field teams and Project Engineer
