What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier (#33, Nanakuli) position at Sack n Save?
Foodland Super Market, Ltd., Hawaii's largest locally owned grocery retailer, is hiring for Cashiers to join our team!
This is an hourly position and we offer a comprehensive benefits package (specifics vary based on position and classification).
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- providing fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for our customers using computerized cash register systems, handling and counting money
- often bag their customers' orders and help shoppers find items in the store.
- assist in the cleaning and dusting of the check stands and surrounding areas and may take “return” products back to proper shelf locations.
- Accuracy and basic math skills are important, as is the ability to memorize product identification codes and weekly ad specials.
- Weighing, scanning, and bagging orders
- Performing a cash audit of the contents in assigned cash drawer
- General maintenance, dusting, and cleaning of check stands and surrounding area
- Resolving service and product related customer service issues
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Maintaining a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observing company dress code
- Abiding by all company policies and procedures
- Performing other duties and assignments as directed
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must successfully pass math test
- Must successfully pass cashier training after hire
- TB Clearance required
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
Work Environment:
- Most duties performed within Front End Department
- Work includes walking, standing for long periods, repetitive hand and arm movements, moderate to frequent lifting, bending, stretching, continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment
