Saco River Family Camping seeks a dynamic General Manager to take the reins of our day-to-day operations, ensuring our guests experience the best in family camping. The pay range for this position is $80,000-$85,000 plus performance bonus opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Guest Services: Ensure a positive guest experience by promptly addressing inquiries, managing reservations, and resolving guest complaints.
- Staff Management: Supervise, schedule, and support staff, including housekeeping, maintenance, and front office leaders and their teams.
- Facility Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep of grounds, buildings, and amenities, ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are met. Develop and maintain a 5-year capital improvement plan.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor daily operations, including check-ins/outs, activities, and policy compliance. Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and ensure adherence to local laws and campground regulations.
- Financial Management, Marketing & Promotions: Track budgets, process payments, manage inventory, and analyze revenue performance. Plan and execute strategies to attract guests, promote events, and maintain a strong online presence.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Relations: Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and community partners to support operations.
Requirements and Expectations:
- Bachelor's Degree: Hospitality or Finance preferred.
- Strong operational management and people leadership skills.
- Interpersonally proficient with the ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
- OSHA 10 or 30 (or willing to obtain)
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) or willing to obtain
- ServSafe (or willing to obtain)
- Being mechanically inclined is helpful
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, such as weather, guest volume, or staffing needs.
- Knowledge of campground safety regulations and emergency protocols.
- Understanding of local laws, environmental policies, and insurance requirements.
