TITLE: FINANCIAL SERVICE SPECIALIST I (TELLER)
STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
DEPARTMENT: ELK GROVE BRANCH
REPORTS TO: ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER
PAY SCALE: $19.50 - $22.50 PER HOUR
Sacramento Credit Union is seeking candidates who enjoy being of service to customers, possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to cross-sell products and services for our Financial Service Specialist I (Teller) position at our Elk Grove branch. All Tellers have a fixed schedule so it’s perfect for individuals wanting a work/life balance. The 37/40-hour schedule is as follows:
Monday: 8:30-5:30
Tuesday: 8:30-5:30 (OFF if working Saturday)
Wednesday 8:30-5:30
Thursday 8:30-5:30
Friday: 8:30-5:30 or 9:30-6:30
Saturday 9:30-2:30 (OFF if working Tuesday)
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Assisting members with financial transactions (i.e. deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, transfers and other transactions)
- Advising members on the products and services of benefit to them
- Ensuring pertinent account information is updated.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. and related work experience normally obtained in a member service and cash handling position.
- Demonstrated ability to improve our members’ financial well-being via timely and relevant cross-sells.
- Ability to perform accurate math calculations and maintain records.
- Ability to perform accurate cash transactions.
- Ability to accurately use keyboard at speed required for successful job performance.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated member service skills.
- Maintains good attendance record.
