Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Content and Photography, this position manages social media strategy and content creation for both Sacramento Republic FC and the Academy programs. The role encompasses content calendar management, social analytics tracking, creative content development, and photography coverage across matches, training sessions, and community events. Key responsibilities include maintaining forward-looking content calendars, matchday social media support, and monitoring emerging social media trends and platforms. The position requires hands-on content capture and a strategic approach to social media management across all channels.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Director of Content and Photography to create a content plan for Sacramento Republic FC and Sacramento Republic FC Academy social platforms.
- Assist with maintaining and executing the forward-looking content calendar for the SRFC/Academy social channels with scheduling content, following up on requests, etc.
- Track, analyze and monitor social media analytics
- Brainstorm creative ways to create content across social media platforms
- Assists on SRFC/Academy matchdays
- Tracks emerging social media trends and platforms like TikTok
- Capture photos at SRFC/SRFC Academy matches, training sessions, Community Relations events, etc.
Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
1. Strong interest in social media and writing skills
2. Strong copywriting and editing skills
3. Must be reliable and demonstrate strong organization and communication skills
4. Must be able to operate independently and in a team-oriented and collaborative environment with internal and external teams
5. Experience with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere), photo and video camera equipment
6. Able to commit to 20-30 hours per week.
7. Possess knowledge of current and emerging social platforms.
8. Must be creative, detail-oriented, and efficient, as you will be asked to create content under strict time restrictions.
9. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the teams' schedules.
Position Information
Compensation $16.50/hour (Monthly phone reimbursement and mile if applicable)
