What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Services Representative / Usher position at Sacramento Republic FC?
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Guest Services Representatives/Ushers play an integral role in defining the overall guest experience during games at Heart Health Park. They assist fans at games by helping to find seats, search for lost articles, and locate facilities, such as restrooms and food vendors. These individuals should be passionate, energetic and enthusiastic, as they are an integral part of our Club. These individuals provide an elevated and personalized venue experience using good judgment and common sense, without compromising safety and security.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet fans and assist to find seats.
- Settle seating disputes or help solve other concerns.
- Examine tickets to verify seating questions.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of venue, policies, and operations to ensure a premium game day experience
- Assist with wayfinding and monitoring areas of congestion.
- Responsible for fan engagement at every event.
- Build strong relationships and maintain a visible presence throughout the event for any guest inquiries, comments, or concerns.
- Guide fans to exits or provide other instructions in case of emergency.
- Verify credentials of those trying to access authorized sections.
- Search for lost articles or for parents of lost children.
- Such other duties, activities, and roles as the company from time to time may designate in its sole and absolute discretion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
- Must be available to attend all necessary in-person training as a prerequisite for employment.
- Must be available for approximately 80% of all home matches, including Season Opener (early March), State Fair (July), and Season Finale (late October).
- Ability to physically work outdoors in inclement and/or hot weather.
- Ability to stand, walk, or travel up and down stairs for extended periods of time
- Ability to project a friendly, approachable, and professional attitude and present a neat, well groomed appearance at all times.
- Strong communication skills are a must, including outgoing personality!
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Knowledgeable about the venue as well as seating arrangements and exits.
- Must be able to adhere to pre-scheduled shifts, and be on-time for events and shifts.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment
- Bilingual is a plus!
Compensation: $16.50
Part-Time
Seasonal: February - November
*Must be available for staff training in early Feb, Season Opener (early March), State Fair games (July), and Season Finale (late October).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or carry supplies; stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
