What are the responsibilities and job description for the Content Creation Intern position at Sacramento River Cats?
As a Content Creation Intern, you will help build and maintain the Sacramento River Cats brand and fan base through engaging visual content. This position is ideal for a creative individual who is skilled in capturing and editing photo and video content, has a strong understanding of content trends, and is eager to help bring the River Cats’ experience to life across all platforms, including social, in-game and advertisements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in planning, capturing, editing, and publishing engaging photo and video content across all social media platforms.
Shoot at all River Cats home games
Attend non-game events to capture content of the River Cat organization out in our community
Assist marketing and game presentation teams with player shoots
Assist with merchandise shoots
Maintain and organize digital assets, including photo and video libraries.
Monitor digital trends and best practices, including teams or other accounts we can engage with across platforms, and suggest ideas for improvement.
Track post and profile performance across social platforms to assess content performance and provide actionable insights to optimize results.
Other duties as assigned by the Marketing Team.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree with a focus in communications, marketing, social media, photography, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Availability to work up to 25 hours per week throughout the duration of the internship including nights, weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and YouTube) and their best practices.
Proven experience in capturing and editing both photo and video content.
Knowledge of and some experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere).
Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
General knowledge of baseball and baseball terminology is required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
Must be able to travel locally to events and other office as needed.

Compensation:
This position is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt internship at a rate of $16.50 per hour. Total compensation & offer package will include Sacramento River Cats home game tickets, discounts on merchandise, and exclusive employee events.
