What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shuttle Driver - River Cats position at Sacramento River Cats?
Under the direction of the Manager of Stadium Operations, Shuttle Drivers are responsible for providing safe and timely transportation for staff, media, and guests. Drivers will use both passenger vans and golf carts to transport to and from the ballpark to on-site and off-site parking lots before, during, and after events and games.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and timely transportation for guests needing ADA assistance to and from our closest lots during all events at Sutter Health Park.
- Provide safe and timely transportation for employees using passenger vans from off-site parking lots before, during, and after events for an Athletics game and high-volume River Cats games.
- Provide safe and timely transportation for employees needing ADA assistance to and from the closer parking areas during River Cats games.
- Provide safe and timely transportation for media from the media parking across 5th Street to and from the ballpark throughout the course of the day on an Athletics game.
- Act as a breaker for other drivers and other positions within the parking areas. These additional positions can include Bike Valet, Greeter, Pedestrian Control, ADA Assistance, and line control for employee shuttles.
- Assist with the set-up and breakdown of the parking areas for off-site employee parking.
- Ensure vehicles are in working order before, during and after events. Ensure golf carts are placed on the charger as needed and after events. Monitor fuel levels and fill up passenger vans as needed. Report any concerns to Stadium Operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be at least 21 years of age for insurance approval.
- Must have a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience to be approved under our driving program and eligible to drive our vehicles.
- Prior experience driving larger 15-passenger vans and golf carts preferred.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and early morning as needed.
- Must have excellent communication skills, specifically around presenting and enforcing safety policies to large groups of people.
- Must have a proven history of making sound decisions in safety sensitive situations.
Compensation: This position is a seasonal part-time position with an hourly rate of $16.50 per hour. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
