Sacred Circle Healthcare is seeking a full-time, Director of Behavioral Health, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Job Summary
General Summary of Duties : The Behavioral Health Director (BHD) is responsible for the direction and leadership of operational, financial, and programmatic activities related to the delivery of Sacred Circle Healthcare Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder services. While the range of duties and responsibilities is broad, ensuring high quality services are provided in accordance with SCHC’s, goals, mission, as well as all compliance regulations and requirements is a priority. The BHD will carry an average of 13-15 clinical hours per week.

Director responsibilities :
- Serves as the programmatic and operational leader for BH and SUD, under the direction of the Strategy Officer.
- Develops and manages operational initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations, IHS standards, AAAHC requirements and compliance.
- Monitors and analyzes financial data and utilizes this data for decision making and providing guidance to managers to effectively set program priorities, goals and objectives.
- Provides guidance and development of leadership skills to BH & SUD Clinic Managers to ensure overall effectiveness of leadership.
- Ensures newly hired BH team members are well trained and prepared by overseeing the transition from HR onboarding to the BH department.
- Facilitates regular department meetings and maintains records related to operations that are complete, accurate, available and in compliance with all legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.
- Partners with HR to select top talent, matching BH & SUD Services’ needs with appropriate skill sets.
- Oversees the student clinical internship program and policy.
- Partners with the Division Officer to create work-flows and policies and procedures that are efficient and effective for the entire clinic.
- Ensures clinic crisis and de-escalation services are supportive and effective.
- Ensures all department timekeeping, scheduling and coverage is maintained and managed according to policy.
- Participates in interdisciplinary meetings including Circle of Care, Department Head, Care Coordination and other requested and required meetings.
- Ensures ethical conduct by clinical staff.
- Plans yearly BH retreat and training.
- Ensures BH & SUD are partnering with the SCHC Marketing and Outreach departments for regular posts, videos and articles for social media, newsletters.
- Supports implementation of wellness with programs and agencies.
- Works in collaboration with the Cultural Specialist team to ensure cultural care is incorporated into clinical treatment model.
- Collaborates with the Cultural Connections team to ensure cultural care is incorporated into clinical programming.
- Supports agency development and leadership as necessary.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION :
Master’s of Social Work (MSW)
EXPERIENCE :
5 years of clinical management experience,
5 years of BH leadership position in a clinical outpatient setting
Experience working with the Native American community.
CERTIFICATION / LICENSE :
LCSW
Other :
Experience working in an outpatient health organization
Experience working with a diverse and / or underserved category.
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage in a client focused and SCHC mission centered manner
