Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking a responsible and caring individual to join our team as the Heart 2 Heart Director/Site Supervisor for our before and after school childcare program and 3 year old preschool teacher.

Position Overview: As the Heart 2 Heart Director/Site Supervisor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and enriching environment for children ages 3-12 in our before and after school childcare program. You will be responsible for supervising childcare staff, school-age children, planning and implementing activities, and maintaining a clean and organized classroom area. The position is currently a school year position, but we would be open to a summer program with the right person running it.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise school-age children in a caring and attentive manner, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and prepare engaging activities and games that promote social, emotional, and intellectual development.
- Clean and sanitize classroom areas and toys regularly to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Set up and clean up activities and ensure materials are stored properly after use.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and school administration regarding program activities and children's progress.
- Complete the paperwork necessary to keep the program licensed by the State of Iowa.
- Plan for and teach 3 year old preschool two days per week with wrap around care.
Qualifications:
- Previous childcare experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible with a genuine passion for working with children.
- Willingness to learn and grow as a member of our dedicated team.
