Job Overview
The Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for management of the nursing home, assisted living, and two adult daycare programs, financial health, operations, and direction in all aspects. The Nursing Home Administrator will follow all Center policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree.
  • MN Nursing Home Administrators License.
  • MN Assisted Living Director License (LALD) Preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of three years' experience as a nursing home administrator.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to:

Respond to critical issues or concerns on a 24/7 basis.

Perform well under pressure and be a thoughtful leader.

Have strong communication skills to effectively and timely communicate with staff, residents, and visitors, and governing board.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility and keep the organization on track for its long-term goals and mission.
  • Maintain effective relationships both individually and as part of the team.
  • Prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain a consistent and visible presence in the facility to foster open communication and accessibility for staff, residents, and families, addressing concerns and providing support as needed.
  • Take initiative, solve problems and make informed decisions.
  • Apply for and manage grants or funding opportunities for facility improvements or programs.
  • Complete rounds of the care center to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations. Identify areas of improvement.
  • Coordinate and provide leadership to each clinical, managerial and custodial team and ensure that they work together effectively.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Oversee all aspects of staffing including hiring, retention, and termination at every level.
  • Promote and support staff retention by establishing mentorship or leadership development opportunities and team building initiatives.
  • Ensure the facility operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Initiates and formulates any new policies facility wide.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure resident's individual care plans are being followed.
  • Provide and develop training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge, including regular safety and compliance training.
  • Create and maintain the budget and oversee billing, set fees and review all major purchases.
  • Assist with the payroll processing of direct reports.
  • Be the face of the organization to the governing board, the public, and residents’ families. Act as a liaison between staff, residents and families.
  • Respond to all emergency situations as needed including drills.
  • Follow all standard precautions and infection control practices.
  • Follow vulnerable adult policies and promote resident's rights.
  • Maintenance oversight of physical facility to provide safe and efficient operating conditions.
  • All other duties as required by the governing board.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,779.00 - $117,206.00 per year
