- Direct and supervise the operating components of the agency’s facilities.
- Oversee ordering of supplies of all parts, equipment, and services needed to maintain facility in an up and running condition.
- Develop methods and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of facilities staff.
- Identify and constructively address and resolve personnel problems and perform annual performance reviews for all facilities staff.
- Maintain all Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center buildings, grounds, equipment, and mechanical, electrical and energy systems.
- Practice proper safety techniques in accordance with the agency-wide and division policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations.
- Maintain communication with and provide reports to appropriate administrative staff regarding the activity, needs, operations problems and general functioning of the facilities department.
- Inspect/maintain discharge wastewater lagoons.
- Minimum of two years demonstrated administrative or supervisor experience in a chemical dependency program deemed desirable.
- CLC certification under the State of Michigan deemed desirable.
- Extensive carpentry, electrical, building maintenance background preferable.
- Pleasant, tactful personality and ability to effectively handle personnel problems
- Willingness to be on call 365 days per year
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
- Be able to climb ladders up to 30 feet.
- Be able to run outside power equipment.
- Be able to work in confined spaces
