Position Title : Assistant to Testing Coordinator
Department : Prep
Reports To : Testing Coordinator
FLSA Classification : Non-exempt
FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) : Part-Time
Schedule of Duties : Seasonal April 28 - May 16, 2025, typically 12-6pm, may not be needed every day
Salary : $24.00-$28.00 / Hourly
Position Purpose : Provide support to the Testing Coordinator during the administration of the Advanced Placement (AP) Exams, ensuring conditions meet all College Board rules and regulations.
Specific Expectations for AP Proctors : In addition to the Essential Functions listed below, the following duties and responsibilities are expected as part of the proctor workload : relevant training, mandatory meetings and / or events as required and directed by your supervisor. All employees will be paid appropriately and according to current law. If staff are required to work outside of the regular work schedule, permission to work outside of the regular work schedule is required; non-exempt employees will receive overtime pay, as eligible.
Essential Functions
- Attend necessary proctor training before the exam administration period
- Proctor AP Exams as needed between May 5th-May 23rd
- Follow the proctoring script and directions as outlined by The College Board when administering exams
- Provide supervision and support regarding the testing process with duties including but not limited to :
Support AP Testing Coordinator with preparing for testing during the last week in April
Prepare materials (booklets, supplies, computers) for each proctorCheck-in proctors and hand out materials on the day of the examCoordinate a Google Chat with proctors to support proctor needsCoordinate release of proctors for lunch and bathroom breaksReceive materials from proctors after each examCollect the attendance reports from the proctors at the beginning of each exam administrationAssist the Testing Coordinator with submitting digital assets from the AP exams (audio recordings, art portfolios, etc)Account for all exam materials as provided by the Testing Coordinator before and at the end of each examComplete necessary paperwork when administering exams for students with an approved accommodationMonitor students when testing on the computer and / or iPadHandle extra equipment needed for administration of exams including computers, audio equipment, etc.Responsible for deleting documents once printed from computersResponsible for shutdown / wipe down of computersCommunicate with the Testing Coordinator in the event of tech difficulties or student questions / incident reportsMonitor students at all times during exam administration including breaksQualifications
