Description
Sacred Heart Preschool, an International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) Early Years school in Louisville, Kentucky seeks a mission-driven, visionary, collaborative, student-focused and community-centered Director effective immediately. This position is a full-time, 12-month leadership role that works closely with the President of Sacred Heart Schools. The Director will promote the educational development of the school’s staff and students, with emphasis on the Ursuline core values of reverence, service, leadership, and community. The ideal candidate will serve as a community leader, fostering a climate of well-being and engagement of students, faculty, and staff within the Preschool and serve as a role model, reflecting the school’s Catholic and Ursuline identity while embodying the creative and forward-thinking direction of the school. The Director will collaborate with the Office of Catholic Identity and Ursuline Charism regarding program planning and implementation.
The Director holds primary responsibility for providing personal and visible leadership for the faculty, staff, students, and families on the mission of the school and will be involved with the development and implementation of a strategic long-term plan that is consistent with both the mission and the vision of Sacred Heart Schools. The Director is responsible for personnel management including recruiting, hiring, and supporting highly qualified faculty and staff. This position ensures the ongoing development of curriculum, collaborates with the administrative team and is an integral part of the planning, managing, and monitoring of the annual budget.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Experience as a preschool teacher. Experience as a preschool administrator. Demonstrated knowledge and compliance with Kentucky Early Childhood regulations. Integrates and models the Catholic faith. Familiarity and understanding of the IB PYP preferred.
