Job Description: Tenure Track Faculty in Health Science
We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated individual to join our undergraduate Health Science program as a full-time, 12-month, tenure track faculty member (rank will be commensurate with experience). The ideal candidate will have experience in Health Science related education and demonstrate strong leadership skills. Responsibilities
Teaching and Curriculum Development
Develop and deliver high-quality undergraduate courses in Health Science, ensuring alignment with program goals and learning outcomes.
Design and implement innovative teaching strategies that enhance student engagement and learning.
Mentor and advise students, providing academic support and guidance throughout their educational journey.
Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve and update the Health Science curriculum, incorporating current trends and advancements in the field.
Participate in the development and preparation of outcomes assessment as requested.
Research and Scholarship
Engage in scholarly research that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in Health Science and allied health related fields.
Seek external funding opportunities to support research initiatives and projects.
Publish research findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
Foster collaborative research partnerships within the institution and with external organizations.
Leadership and Service
Provide visionary leadership in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance the Health Science program.
Serve on departmental, college, and university committees, contributing to the governance and decision-making processes.
Lead and participate in community engagement and outreach activities that promote Health Science education and public health awareness including student recruitment and admissions events.
Qualifications
Educational Background
A Ph.D. degree in Health Science, Public Health, or a closely related allied health field from an accredited institution, if applicable.
Experience
A minimum of three years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level, preferably in Health Science or a related discipline.
Proven track record of research productivity, including publications and successful grant applications.
Demonstrated leadership experience, such as leading academic programs, committees, or community initiatives.
Skills and Competencies
Strong commitment to teaching excellence and student success.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Proficiency in curriculum development and implementation.

Knowledge of data analysis software such as SPSS, SAS, ATLAS.ti, NVIVO
