Position Title: Contract Specialist
HYBRID 4 days ON SITE IN HOUSTON, TX, Friday work from home
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience and comfort with drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating legal and commercial contract terms and conditions (NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, License Agreements, etc.) directly with suppliers and Employer s Legal on both supplier paper and Employer s standard forms.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance from Category and Sourcing Managers to identify stakeholder requirements and negotiate favorable contract T&C directly with suppliers.
- Effectively mitigate contractual (legal and commercial) risk and identify and communicate unavoidable contractual risk items.
- Procurement contract negotiation and execution experience,
- 5 years of professional procurement contracting experience.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to organize and maintain a fluid administrative process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Stakeholder Relationships, and Technology Expertise.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Procurement expertise: Contract management experience; Understanding and experience with RFQ process, familiarity with vendor management, risk management skills.
- Project management skills: Task prioritization, data management and analysis, deadline-driven, attention to detail, problem-solver.
- Negotiation and communication skills: stakeholder communication, contract negotiation experience.
- Self-starter: highly motivated individual who takes initiative without needing constant supervision.
