The Firearms Consultant will play a critical role in engaging customers from all varying skill levels and bring the SRR retail experience to life by providing top tier customer service. The Firearms Consultant will be responsible for providing prompt, knowledgeable service while maintaining a safe, professional retail environment. The Firearms Consultant is responsible for selling products, merchandise, and services in a detail oriented retail setting.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Previous firearm experience REQUIRED
- Previous retail experience REQUIRED
Duties and Responsibilities
- Heavily involved in retail sales and customer assistance.
- Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication using strong interpersonal skills.
- Maintaining accurate and current records in compliance with all federal, state and local laws and requirements.
- Uses tact and diplomacy when enforcing federal, state and local laws.
- Responsible for the organization and arrangement and stocking of displays and products.
- Use tact and diplomacy when enforcing store polices, guidelines and procedures.
- Alert and mindful of accident prevention, risk management and liability concerns.
- Responsible for keeping the store and range areas safe, clean and presentable at all times.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
- Willingness to follow operating policies and standards and comply with company dress code
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Able to take the initiative in self-development and strive to learn something new every day.
- Must be safety conscious and able to maintain strong attention to detail for an extended period of time.
