What are the responsibilities and job description for the College Ministry Worship Leader position at Saddleback?
WHAT YOU WILL DO
College Ministry weekly services (currently Thursdays):
- Provide steady leadership for our team and ministry to support the health and growth of the team.
- Lead worship as a vocalist that can prompt songs, helping the ministry have a better understanding of what they are engaging in.
- Oversee worship rehearsal at 5:00pm and stay until service is over to help clean up anything on stage or off that falls under their scope of leadership.
Music Director duties:
- Selecting songs and tracks for Thursday nights, scheduling bands for each week, managing PCO, and student auditions.
Retreats:
- Recruit the band, pick the songs, lead worship during sessions, and run the band and worship at retreats.
Student Development/Care:
- Help develop students in worship, vocals, instrumentals.
- Work in partnership with adult worship and SSM worship to develop students.
- Pastoral care as needed.
- Find ways to celebrate worship students through milestones.
WHO YOU ARE
- Worship experience needed.
- High School degree required.
- Good interpersonal skills, comfortable leading and developing college students, and admin minded.
WHAT WE OFFER
Saddleback Church’s pay philosophy is based on internal and external data for pay equity and budgetary considerations for effective stewardship. The estimated pay rate for this position is $20.00-24.00 per hour. We will provide a pay rate within our salary structure that fits a candidate’s qualifications and experience for the job. The wage range posted does not guarantee a specific wage for a job offer.
