Director of Common Area Maintenance – Join Our Award-Winning Community
SaddleBrooke Two, an award-winning active adult community in Northeast Tucson, is seeking an experienced Director of Common Area Maintenance to lead the operations, upkeep, and management of our extensive common areas. This position is responsible for ensuring the maintenance of all equipment, facilities, and properties within the Common Area Maintenance (CAM) operation while preserving the community’s aesthetic appeal for residents and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for the CAM team, ensuring high maintenance standards.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies aligned with community needs and budget constraints.
- Establish and enforce safety protocols, ensuring the team participates in regular training.
- Oversee daily and preventative maintenance across several hundred acres, including landscaping, weed control, erosion and drainage management, and general amenity upkeep.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure effective weed elimination, proper water drainage, and overall landscape health.
- Hire, train, and manage CAM personnel while coordinating with HOA departments on landscaping and community aesthetics.
- Oversee project development, bid processes, and subcontractor performance.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 15 years of landscape and common area maintenance experience.
- 5 years of progressive supervisory experience.
- Certified Arborist and Certified Landscape Professional credentials preferred.
- Chemical Applicator License for weed control required (Qualifying Party License preferred or obtainable within the first year).
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License.
