Are you a night owl? The 2nd Shift Maintenance Laborer assists the Mechanics with light maintenance duties and maintains a clean work area. This position works outside year round. We are a family owned company where people and culture matter! We offer great wages and a great benefit package.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist Mechanics: Support Mechanics in performing light maintenance tasks. This may involve assisting with inspections, repairs, lubrication, or other basic maintenance duties under their guidance.
- Basic Mechanical Ability: Possess a basic understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to work in and around the maintenance shop. This includes familiarity with common tools, equipment, and safety practices.
- Facility Maintenance: Perform light maintenance tasks around the facility, including the yard and office areas.
- Versatility and Adaptability: Be willing to handle a variety of duties that can range from requiring some skill to routine maintenance and upkeep. Work on different tasks as assigned.
- Proficient Use of Hand Tools: Demonstrate proficiency in using a variety of hand tools commonly used for maintenance tasks. This includes properly selecting, handling, and maintaining tools for efficient and safe operation.
- Safety Awareness: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
- Equipment Assistance: Aid mechanics when needed, such as retrieving tools, organizing materials, or supporting tasks related to equipment repairs or maintenance.
- Learning and Training: Actively participate in Safety Training Programs and on-the-job learning opportunities.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or dusting and general upkeep duties around the facility.
- Perform facility maintenance duties such as mowing, cutting, trimming, and spraying trees, grass, shrubs, and other vegetation. Also perform duties such as shoveling of snow, dirt, and gravel.
- Assist in inventory management and upkeep.
- Collaborate effectively with Mechanics and other team members to accomplish maintenance tasks and ensure smooth operations.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
- One to two years of related experience.
