The Director of Admissions is responsible for the overall successful operation, training and monitoring of the campus Admissions Office. This position also has some responsibility to recruit, enroll, and retain students for the school through direct outbound contact with prospective students and on-site tours. Coordinates with department managers to implement student enrollment strategies and manage resources in order to meet performance expectations. The Director of Admissions ensures that the philosophy and values of SAE/Expression are clearly communicated to potential students while demonstrating deep academic program knowledge in creative media education. The Director of Admissions provides leadership and mentorship to his or her teammates, assists in the execution of the business plan, the control of the expenses and other managerial functions, as needed and drives to help his or her team achieve the campus quantitative and qualitative goals while exhibiting professionalism, compliance and ethics, accuracy and passion for creative media education.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops, directs and coordination the development, direction and coordination of student enrollment activities.
- Serves as a key campus manager for all Admissions employees and campus staff in the absence of other key functional area leadership.
- Manages all Admissions staff in accordance with company policy and all state and Federal employment laws
- Ensures that objectives, plans, budgets, policies, practices and actions are consistent with the overall Admissions Department.
- Participates in the development and execution of both short-term and long term student recruitment strategies in the field to ensure the objectives are met; and implements approved programs.
- Ensures quality hires and manages compensation and performance management programs to stay within salary budget.
- Recruits and hires new staff, which includes interviewing prospects.
- Delegate responsibilities to teammates.
- Carries out management responsibilities which include the following: planning, assigning and directing work of subordinates; appraising their performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Demonstrates SAE/Expression Values in the completion of all job assignments.
- Adheres to laws and regulations governing student recruitment activities.
- Manages student follow-up and ensures that applied students are ready and able to begin classes.

- Conduct conversations regarding potential students interest and plans regarding their education.
- Provide information to prospective students concerning the program of study, policies of the school, and general expectations for satisfactory performance.
- Conduct tours of school campus.
- Assist prospective students through the admissions process from the initial call to the signing of the enrollment agreement.
- Meet or exceed all enrollment goals that have been set by the Director.
- Assist with the preparation of complete admissions records and student files.
- Conduct follow-up calls to ensure students start and graduate.
- Maintain contact with current students and graduates to promote student referrals.
- Maintain records of calls made, calls received, and issues/concerns addressed.
- Maintain all applications and student enrollment in the student database system.
- Maintain compliance with all State, Accreditation and Department of Education Standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of an effective marketing plan.
- Address any issues or concerns raised by students or parents of students regarding cost, financing, curriculum, tutoring, campus safety, testing procedures or cancellation policy.
- Establish and maintain communications with local area public and private high schools and outside agencies to develop a lead source for potential students and/or future placement contacts for our graduates.
- Effectively and accurately communicate school policies, processes, and procedures relating to the various student support services including part-time and graduate employment, financial aid, housing, etc.
- Set up school exhibits for high school career days, and educational seminars to provide the public with information regarding the schools programs.
- Assist with all or any administrative duties as set forth by the Director.
- Submit all reports in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
- Participate in all school-scheduled seminars, graduation ceremonies, and outside functions.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma required, Bachelors degree preferred.
- 6 to 7 years of admissions experience required, 4 years of admissions management experience preferred.
- Must possess knowledge of the admissions process and be able to match products and services to prospect needs, and communicate the value proposition of the specific opportunity.
- Must possess knowledge of the sales process and have a strong desire for success in selling.
- Management experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; communicates effectively, presenting ideas and facts clearly and effectively in an oral or written manner.
- For-profit education experience and a deep understanding of accreditation standards
- Possesses a thorough understanding all applicable school systems and tools, and uses them effectively: Salesforce.com, CampusVue.

Additional Information
Sitting for long periods. Dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper, occasional lifting of items weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds such as files, stacks of paper, reference and other materials. Moving from place to place within the organization, minimal reaching for items above and below desk level. Strength, dexterity, coordination and vision to use keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods.
Hours of work may alternate and must remain flexible. There will be a requirement of some additional evenings or Saturdays for our Open Houses, Orientations and Graduation. Staff / Operational meetings will be held weekly. These meetings are mandatory. This is a permanent and full-time, Onsite, campus-based position.
