Custodian

SUMMARY:
To maintain the Pomona office and Kansas City Distribution Center buildings in a clean and safe manner by cleaning, assisting in general maintenance, stocking of cleaning and kitchen supplies, disposing of all trash and maintaining clean floors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITES:

• Empty all trash receptacles and properly handle recyclables.
• Clean and maintain restrooms and break areas.
• Clean all break rooms, conference rooms and kitchen areas.
• Use company vehicle to run local errands to obtain needed parts or supplies.
• Maintain floors by running floor cleaning equipment as needed.
• Inform supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
• Responsible for regular maintenance of water dispensers, ice and coffee machines and equipment.
• Clean and organize storage areas and office supply closets.
• Organize PPE closets and restock as needed.
• Act promptly to mop or clean up spills.
• Clean out empty offices and prepare for new hires.
• Dust and disinfect common surfaces.
• Clean doors and glass.
• Aid with light maintenance projects such as touch up paint, deep cleaning, etc as needed.
• Clean vents, windowsills, trim, corners, etc.
• Report any facility issues as they arise.
• Keep outside of building clear of trash and debris. Pick up trash around facility and parking lots on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to cold, wet or humid conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
