Safari Kid is a growing early childhood education center in Burlington, MA, offering year-round programs for infants through private kindergarten. We are committed to providing a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment where children develop a love for learning.

About the Role

We are seeking a self-sufficient, results-driven, and dynamic Center Director to independently manage and lead our center with confidence, efficiency, and innovation. The ideal candidate will be an organized, proactive leader with strong problem-solving and communication skills, capable of balancing daily school operations, staff leadership, regulatory compliance, and enrollment growth.

This role requires someone who can take charge of the center’s day-to-day functions without constant oversight, ensuring the center operates smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with state and company standards.

What You’ll Do

• Independently oversee and manage all daily school operations, ensuring a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.
• Maintain EEC compliance, health & safety standards, and seamless center operations.
• Increase center enrollments by actively engaging with prospective families, developing marketing strategies, and creating an exceptional first impression.
• Develop community outreach initiatives to attract new families and establish valuable partnerships that support center growth.
• Take ownership of problem-solving for daily challenges, ensuring smooth classroom transitions, staff coverage, and operational continuity.
• Lead and develop a talented team of educators, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
• Engage with current families to enhance their experience, maintain satisfaction, and build long-term relationships.
• Ensure the school is well-maintained, visually appealing, and always operating at its best.
• Demonstrate strong decision-making skills, knowing when to take initiative and when to escalate critical matters.

What You Bring

• EEC Director II Certification (Required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of program administration experience in an EEC-licensed large group program
• A self-starter mindset with the ability to independently manage daily operations

Strong understanding of EEC regulations and employment laws

• Proven ability to grow enrollments through marketing, community outreach, and relationship-building
• A passion for developing high-quality early learning programs and building strong relationships with staff, families, and the community
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for safety and emergency situations
