Direct Support Professional (DSP), Site Supervisor - Union County

Key Responsibilities : Team Leadership :  Supervise and provide guidance to a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), ensuring they follow protocols and provide compassionate care to individuals.Staff Training & Development :  Conduct training and orientation for new staff, and provide ongoing professional development to DSPs. Ensure staff are up-to-date on certifications, policies, and best practices.Scheduling & Staffing :  Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for shifts and maintaining compliance with regulations.Performance Monitoring :  Observe and assess the performance of DSP staff, providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and addressing any areas for improvement.Team Meetings :  Lead regular staff meetings, ensuring open communication and effective collaboration among team members.Individual Support :  Provide hands-on care and support to individuals, including assistance with personal hygiene, mobility, meal preparation, medication administration, and other daily living activities.Goal Implementation :  Ensure that the goals outlined in each individuals Individual Service Plan (ISP) are implemented and documented. Provide guidance and encouragement to help individuals achieve their goals.Behavioral Support :  Apply positive behavioral support techniques and interventions to help individuals manage behaviors and improve their social skills and daily living activities.Health & Safety :  Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of individuals, monitor health conditions, and report any changes or concerns to appropriate medical professionals. Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and regulatory standards.Documentation :  Ensure accurate and timely completion of daily logs, progress notes, incident reports, and other required documentation. Maintain confidentiality of all records.Compliance & Regulations :  Ensure that the site adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, including those related to care standards, safety protocols, and ethical practices.Quality Assurance :  Assist in conducting regular site audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Make recommendations for improvements when necessary.Family & Community Interaction :  Serve as a primary point of contact for families and guardians of individuals.
