SUMMARY:
Manages, directs, and administers the operations of a branch office, designated medium in size, that offers a full range of services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Responsible for maintaining a sales and service culture within the branch, coaching employees in an atmosphere of continuous improvement and achieving assigned sales and service goals for the branch as well as individual employees
· Ensures that employees are following the Member Experience Service Standards in order to meet member needs and provide exceptional service.
· Responsible for performing the essential functions of a Teller, Member Service Representative, Loan Interviewer/Officer and Senior Teller as needed.
· Manages the branches lending, deposit and related services, including assigned ATM's.
· Hires, trains, develops, directs, motivates, and rewards branch personnel
· Ensures proper maintenance of facilities, equipment, and surrounding grounds of the branch. Also responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the communication and security systems within the branch
· Prepares and submits annual budget.
· Verifies branch general ledgers. Completes over/short report and other reports and logs by required deadlines.
· Performs audits on ATMs, CDMs, recyclers, cash vault and coin vault at designated intervals.
· Performs quarterly audits and submits completed check list to internal audit and AVP Branch Administration by required date.
· Functions as the contact with the Shaw Air Force Base officials (Shaw Branch Manager).
· Required to represent SAFE in at least one social or civic organization.
· Supports Membership Development at various SEG events sponsored by SAFE and maintains a visible presence within the local communities by attending various events including those held outside of normal business hours.
· Provides staff support to other branch locations when possible and as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; prepares and conducts annual performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
The Branch Manager is expected to attain branch goals in savings, lending, account relationships, transactions, and profitability. Productivity standards are determined from time to time to reflect the traffic, volume and market opportunities for the branch.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education (GED) required. Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field from an accredited university preferred. Two years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or successful completion of the SAFE Management Trainee Program.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate discounts, interest, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- Notary Public
- Mortgage Loan Origination (MLO)
- Signature Guarantee Medallion
- Insurance Sales Certification
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
· Ability to operate PC including input, output, and inquiry to member accounts and other account information required in the member service/lending/teller functions. Must be able to create and adjust excel spread sheets required to monitor various branch statistics.
· Ability to operate standard office equipment and tools, such as personal computer, fax machine, telephones, photocopier, DVR security system, biometric safe deposit box access system, ATMs, CDMs and recyclers.
· Familiar with the differences in products and services offered by other financial institutions to those offered by the credit union.
- Annually complete and achieve passing scores on various SAFE FCU Policy, Procedure, Development and Enhancement Curriculum.
