Pull Tarps, a Safe Fleet company, and a leader in the truck equipment manufacturing industry, is looking for a Inside Sales and Customer Service represent
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Core duties and responsibilities include the following.
- Communicate with customers by telephone, email, fax or live video to provide information about products, orders, delivery, quotations, pricing, warranty, credits, company policies and procedures, along with capturing details of complaints.
- Generate quotes & Order entry using ERP system (Netsuite).
- Work closely with outside sales and product management on customer application and product specifications, installation and operation procedures, aftermarket service and support information and promoting new products.
- Work closely with manufacturing, distribution, and accounting to facilitate serving customers on a timely basis.
- Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products.
- Answers telephone calls, data entry and responds to issues or questions to ensure customers satisfaction, achieving the company’s customer experience targets.
- Work closely with other inside associates to ensure customer needs are handled in a prompt and proper manner.
- Ensure company resources are used in an effective manner, optimizing operating costs.
- Make appropriate decisions while following the company’s policies, strategies and organizational structure.
- Obtain technical knowledge of Pulltarps products and services to assist customers with trouble shooting and identification of correct parts ordering.
- Sales acumen to sell Pulltarps products over the phone.
- Provide outbound selling activities that support quote follow up, prospecting, and post-sale surveying.
- Maintain a high level of quality and performance.
- Good attendance is required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
COMPETENCIES:
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including telephone etiquette
- Capable of making decisions in a team environment as well as independently, applying departmental policies and procedures to resolve situations
- Attention to detail, patient with clear communication skills, excellent listening skills and strong social skills
- Organized with ability to work and follow-up with customers to solve problems and complete orders
- Ability to organize many facets of Pulltarps business including but not limited to learning a large number of parts/systems/services, customer needs, and knowledge of various Pulltarps department capabilities.
- Proficient computer skills, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook with the ability to multi-task
- Experience with automotive, industrial or manufacturing desirable
- Mechanical and Technical aptitude
- Bilingual a plus but not required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Manual dexterity
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service and/or sales in a fast-paced work environment is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing industry a plus especially tarp system manufacturing.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Must be proficient working with, telephone, Internet, word, Excel and Outlook
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must have the ability to read, write, speak and understand English plus have adequate hearing and visual acuity.
- The working environment is in an air-conditioned environment and regularly physically going into an unheated/air-conditioned manufacturing/warehouse setting.
- Frequently reaching, gripping, and carrying up to 50 lbs., standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting and walking in addition to being seated a good portion of the day.
- Good communication skills are required in addition to understanding verbal and written instruction.
- Must handle multiple tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (weather/non-weather)
- PPE is required for this position\
Salary $22-$24/hour
