Job Overview:
The position will be responsible for high-impact and complex Actuarial projects and initiatives. The responsibilities may include but is not limited to:
Job Responsibilities:
- Drives profitable growth among existing partners and the acquisition of new clients through appropriate pricing and thoughtful product design.
- Partners closely with Account Management teams to provide meaningful analytics and recommendations to strengthen existing relationships with clients.
- Provides thought leadership in pricing methodology and actuarial analytics both externally and internally to meet the evolving needs of the warranty space.
- Partners closely with the IT team to develop strong rate infrastructures as well as automate processes that directly contribute to overall scalability.
- Participates in key pricing discussions with VP and C-level executives and act as a trusted advisor to senior management.
- Provide technical guidance to all Actuarial Analyst and other members of the Risk Management team.
- Able to proficiently manage projects from inception to delivery.
Job Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics/Decision Science, Mathematics, or related analytical field of study required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in P&C required.
- Passage of at least five SOA/CAS actuarial exams with intent to sit for future actuarial exams (company study time, materials, and exam bonuses provided).
- Significant experience with Microsoft Excel, familiarity with SQL, and ability to use both tools (and others as needed) to analyze and interpret data.
- Experience with creation and maintenance of relational databases required.
- Excellent and effective communication and presentation skills required.
- Initiative and drive necessary to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Prior insurance or auto industry experience, management/strategy consulting experience, or prior work as a business, financial, or operational analyst desired.
- Experience with modeling software (R, EMB, Earnix, etc.) or Tableau desired
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check
