Quality Assurance Nurse

Description

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular audits and reviews of patient care documentation and clinical practices to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with clinical staff to develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives
• Analyze data related to patient outcomes and care processes, identifying areas for improvement
• Provide education and training to nursing and care staff on best practices, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance quality of care
• Conduct investigations of incidents, complaints, and adverse events, providing recommendations for corrective actions
• Prepare and present quality assurance reports to management, highlighting trends, outcomes, and areas needing attention
• Foster a culture of quality and safety throughout the organization by promoting open communication and collaboration among staff

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Michigan nursing license
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a quality assurance or quality improvement role in home health care or a related setting
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and quality assurance software
