Job Title: Program Navigator
Reports To: Program Coordinator
Shift Availability: 2nd Shift
Position Overview:
The Program Navigator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Safe Harbor Program, which is grounded in faith-based principles. As a key team member, the Navigator is responsible for direct oversight and management of various day-to-day tasks, ensuring that clients receive the necessary care, support, and structure to succeed in their recovery journey. This role involves providing hands-on support to clients, assisting with the operational management of the facility, and fostering an environment of accountability, safety, and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Housing Management:
- Ensure that the Housing App (Podio) is accurate and up-to-date at all times.
- Input new clients into the housing system promptly.
- Drug Screening:
- Administer drug screenings for clients as part of progress reports.
- Emergency Preparedness:
- Assist the Program Coordinator with fire, tornado, flood, and other emergency drills.
- Ensure that all emergency preparedness protocols are regularly reviewed and practiced.
- Client File Management:
- Ensure accurate and complete filing of client records, including adding files from the day.
- Property Inspections:
- Perform regular, hourly walk-throughs to ensure property cleanliness and safety. This includes checking dorms, kitchens, classrooms, and common areas.
- Ensure attention to detail by conducting checks on specific areas on different days (e.g., dorm posters, showers, kitchen cleanliness).
- Work Therapy Oversight:
- Manage Work Therapy duties to ensure that all areas of the facility (dorms, offices, common areas) are maintained.
- Visitation Monitoring:
- Ensure a smooth and safe visitation process by checking in visitors, verifying IDs, and inspecting any packages.
- Monitor visitation areas to ensure that all individuals are behaving appropriately and adhering to facility guidelines.
- Client Support and Availability:
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients in need of toiletries, clothing, or other personal items.
- Provide a compassionate, listening ear to clients experiencing personal struggles, and refer them to the appropriate staff for further support.
- Pass Management:
- After pass approval, input the approved names into the Podio pass app, print and post the pass list in common areas.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Attend to other tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator or Director. These may include duties or additional responsibilities related to the facility's operation and client care.

Pay: $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week

- Day shift

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Addiction Recovery Field: 1 year (Preferred)
