Responsibilities
- Greet customers and donors warmly, assisting them in locating products and processing donations.
- Accept, sort, and organize incoming donations, ensuring items are in good condition and properly categorized.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Process sales transactions efficiently using POS systems.
- Provide product demonstrations and explain features to customers.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, sales floor, and donation processing areas.
- Assist in moving merchandise to and from the sales floor, ensuring proper stocking and display.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals, enhance customer experiences, and create a welcoming environment for donors.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers and donors.
- Experience in cash handling and operating cash registers or POS systems.
- Basic math skills, including retail math, to ensure accurate transactions.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise and donations as needed.
- Organizational skills for sorting and stocking items efficiently.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader customer base.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with product demos is advantageous but not required.
