Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support residents in daily activities and encourage their independence while ensuring safety.
- Monitor and document vital signs as required, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Drive residents to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their transportation needs are met.
- Provide assistance with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
Skills
- Experience in home care or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with residents and their families.
- Basic understanding of vital signs monitoring and reporting procedures.
