As part of this opportunity, you will lead prevention, advocacy, protection, education, and healing efforts in our community, aligning with SAFE, Inc.’s mission to eliminate domestic and sexual violence. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. Your leadership will not only make a lasting impact on survivors but will also strengthen community partnerships and promote a safer, more supportive environment for all.

Compensation: $100,000 based on experience

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR POSITION

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Administration
- Lead the reinvention of SAFE, Inc.’s operations to ensure maximum efficiency, impact, and sustainability.
- Oversee daily operations, including shelter services, advocacy programs, finance, grant administration, retail stores, and volunteers.
- Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
Staff & Volunteer Management
- Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing team.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, adaptability, and creativity.
- Oversee a dynamic volunteer management program.
Fundraising & Development
- Spearhead bold and ambitious fundraising strategies to drive financial growth.
- Cultivate relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and grant-making organizations.
- Develop and implement creative fundraising initiatives, including capital campaigns, planned giving, and high-impact donor engagement events.
- Leverage innovative fundraising techniques, including digital campaigns and community events.
- Expand and diversify SAFE, Inc.’s revenue streams to ensure long-term sustainability.
Fiscal & Financial Oversight
- Oversee financial and accounting activities with a focus on sustainability and growth.
- Maintain transparency and accountability in all financial dealings.
Community Engagement & Advocacy
- Serve as a powerful ambassador for SAFE, Inc.
- Develop innovative ways to engage the public and expand awareness.
- Build strong community partnerships and advocate for survivors at local and national levels.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services, counseling, social work, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 7 years in domestic violence/sexual assault services or related experience; 4 years in executive leadership.
- Fundraising & Development: Proven track record of securing major funding, donor engagement, and grant success, with demonstrated ability to significantly expand organizational revenue.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to revamp, innovate, and lead with a growth-oriented mindset.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional ability to build relationships, inspire action, and drive organizational change.
- Mission-Driven: Deep understanding of domestic violence and sexual assault issues with a commitment to advocacy.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Work Environment & Travel
- Work primarily at SAFE, Inc.’s headquarters with opportunities for community engagement.
- Travel required for conferences, training, and donor meetings.
Reporting Structure
- Reports directly to the Board of Directors.
- Leads a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
