Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Parts Manager to join our team. The Parts Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of parts inventory management, logistics, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency apparatus service and repair, as well as exceptional customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain inventory levels of parts and supplies
- Develop and implement effective inventory control procedures
- Coordinate with vendors to procure parts and negotiate pricing
- Ensure accurate pricing and proper documentation for all parts transactions
- Oversee the shipping, receiving, and distribution of parts
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely delivery of parts for repairs
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with part inquiries and orders
- Resolve any customer issues or concerns related to parts orders
- Maintain a clean and organized parts warehouse
Experience:
- Previous experience in service or repair is required
- Strong knowledge of parts and their applications
- Proven experience in inventory control and warehouse management
- Ability to diagnose equipment repair needs and recommend appropriate parts
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in emergency apparatus service and repair
- Strong knowledge of emergency vehicle parts and their applications
- Previous experience in the fire and safety industries
- Experience using NetSuite or Oracle Platforms (ERP)
- Experience using ServicePro
