Job Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records within the warehouse. This role ensures proper stock levels, tracks inventory movements, and implements best practices to minimize discrepancies and optimize warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure accuracy and alignment with operational needs.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and implement adjustments as necessary to maintain data integrity.
- Daily picking location replenishments.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to coordinate the timely and accurate receipt of incoming goods.
- Process purchase orders, ensuring alignment with inventory requirements.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and transfers.
- Ensure compliance with documentation standards and company policies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
- Generate regular reports on inventory performance, stock levels, and aging stock for management review.
- Conduct regular reconciliations between physical inventory and system records.
- Participate in periodic audits to verify the accuracy of inventory levels and resolve discrepancies.
- Utilize inventory management software and tools to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including warehouse, finance, and sales, to optimize inventory processes.
- Address any inventory-related issues or concerns promptly.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance overall inventory control.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in inventory management.
- All other tasks as assigned.
