Legal Advocate: (Full-Time 37.5 hours/week, non-exempt), $19.00 - $24.00/per hour

We strive to engage our community through awareness, advocacy, and prevention. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Legal Advocate to join our team. The Legal Advocate plays a critical role by providing survivors with essential legal support, guidance, and advocacy, ensuring their rights are protected and helping them navigate the legal system
The Legal Advocate will provide individual legal options counseling and support to adult victims of domestic and sexual abuse, accompany clients to legal proceedings, and build strong relationships with law enforcement, judicial systems, and medical professionals. The Legal Advocate is responsible for maintaining statistical data for grant reporting and assisting with crisis intervention and supportive counseling as needed. This role involves follow-up with the Lethality Assessment Program (LAP), managing the permission slip program, coordinating meetings with attorneys, victim/witness advocates, and Magisterial District Judges (MDJs), and organizing legal trainings on sexual assault and domestic abuse for law enforcement. The Legal Advocate will also participate in 24-hour hotline coverage, attend ongoing trainings, and provide quarterly training sessions to police during roll calls. Additionally, the Legal Advocate will assist with emergency financial applications, compensation claims, and maintain a legal resource library for staff and clients.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Services, Criminal Justice) is required. Candidates must have a strong passion for our mission. We offer a competitive benefits package.
