Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine health status and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' progress and response to treatments, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical records using Cerner and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
- Participate in sterile processing and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Engage in case management activities for patients requiring complex care coordination.
- Assist in tube feeding procedures for patients as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in patient assessment techniques and hospital medicine practices.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and Level I Trauma Center protocols.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical record management.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high standard of care.
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques is preferred but not required.
- Experience in case management is a plus, enhancing the ability to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
