Job Summary
We are seeking SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY ! We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing appointment schedules, ensuring efficient patient flow, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical or dental office setting, with a strong understanding of daily operations. As a Scheduling Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of scheduling appointments and coordinating administrative tasks within a home care agency setting. Because we are a Nursing Home Care Agency you will be asked to answer any texts or calls after hours that pertain to the schedule . This is an important part of the job in order to ensure that our home care patients are being taking care of to the best of our ability.
Responsibilities
- - Manage and maintain the nursing schedule efficiently
- - Coordinate nurses, follow-ups, and cancellations making sure schedule reflects any changes that arise
- -Finding Nursing Care coverage for unassigned shifts, daily
- - Provide exceptional customer service to patients both in person and over the phone you will be the lesion between nurses, families and administration
- - Assist with medical administrative support tasks as needed such as- on boarding new nurses and making making sure that all active nurses stay up to date with their documentation that is required by NYS Dept of Health.
- -Making sure that all Nurses notes are completed from the day prior to ensure nurses documentation is done in a sufficient amount of time
- -Answer any Nurses or Family members after hours with any concerns they may have pertaining to scheduling.
Experience
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or dental receptionist is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing processes and insurance verification is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Medicare policies and procedures is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Experience in documentation review and medical collection practices is beneficial.
- - Proficiency in Axxess Home Care or similar practice management software but will train
- - Experience in front desk operations within a medical or dental clinic (scheduling experience a plus
- -Organizational skills and prioritizing skills a must- Knowledge of spreadsheets a plus
- - Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively- Bilingual proficiency is a plus for interacting with diverse patient populations
